I realized that I’m an amazonian missionary, but not in the way you might think. I’m not referring to the Amazon jungle no ,no; I’m referring to a much closer mission field. Amazon the online market place.
In the time before I leave for the middle east the Lord has lead me to go to Amazon. The only reason I had at the time, as to why I should work there was simply because the Lord wanted me to. So I did, I applied and started working as a forklift driver in Amazon. From that act of obedience, the Lord has been teaching the meaning of Collisions 3:23 (And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men) and been touching people’s hearts inside that wearhouse.
Here’s a testimony of one person who was touched by the while on the job. So a day before this had happened I was asked by some friends if I’d like to go fishing after work (this comes full circle haha). I was leaning more towards no because it would have been a lot to do once I got home but the Lord said,” I want you to go”, so I agreed to go. The asked if I’d be able to leave work early I was going to say no but the Lord said, “leave an hour early”, so I let them know I’d leave an hour early. Fast forwarding to the next day. It was time to leave so I made my way out, just before I left the building I had realized that I had forgotten my scanner and harness on my forklift. I need to turn those back in so I went back and retrieved them.
There is a woman who works at the inventory cage who receives all the scanners at the end of your shift. She’s a fellow believer , I had expected her to ask me why I was leaving early. As I turned in the scanner all she said was ,”thank you”. As I turned around to drop off my harness the holy spirit said ,”pray right now”. I was caught off guard because there was a sense of urgency that came over me. So I turned around and asked ,” how can I pray for you?” She replied ,”what?” So I repeated myself. She then said, “why do you want to pray for me?” I said, “because the Lord told me to.” she then exclaimed, “what did he tell you!” I replied,”nothing just to come back and pray for you.” she then said, “I don’t just open up about those things.” I replied, “it’s all good the Lord knows.” She decided to be vulnerable and open up about what was going on. She talked about how she’s a single mother who struggles with depression and has a boy who acts out from time to time but she said it gets bad. Her son was in that moment acting out but she couldn’t do anything because she was at work. So we prayed and she was so touched by the Lord in that moment. She was crying and right after we were done rushed me with a bear hug haha it was a tender moment.
The Lord saw her where she was in that moment. In the midst of her struggle in the midst of the fire, not only does he see her but he’s also there with her. I also say this to YOU, God sees you in the midst of your circumstance and is with you take heart and know that you are loved by the king of kings, the Lord of Lords. He has you in his hand just as he had that women. Do not fear just be still and know that He is God.
