This is my home for the next 9 months ! It’s only been 3 days and the Lord has wasted no time. I had bought a volleyball for my squad to use whenever they want. I had announced that information to the squad and one of the leaders,” Kate” restated the information saying, “you guys can use Nick’s volleyball”. I corrected her saying, “it’s not my ball it’s the squads ball I don’t have owner ship over it “. Kate immediately said,” Wow your just like your brother”. (as for those who don’t know I have a brother named Luis he has worked with the world race for two years and two years before that he was a racer like me) I gave a short response back I think I said ,”yeah” or something along those lines. I didn’t think much about it and carried on with my day. I had gone back to my hammock to grab something and on my way back Kate calls my name as she gets closer to my she says,”I’ve been looking for you. After I said you were just like your brother the Lord convicted my heart telling me ‘, Nick is not just like Luis, although they may be brothers Nick has unique qualities’ so in that I need to view you as your own individual person so I can see who you are.” I thought to myself ,”wow” I figured that I’d have a lot of people say I’m like Luis In coming here to the home base of adventures in missions; but I did not expect the Lord to defend my identity. Its absolutely beautiful! To see the Lord defend my individuality.
You do have a pretty amazing brother, and you are an amazing young man as well….you both reflect Jesus well. Keep your eyes on Jesus as He continues to refine you and shape you into the man of God He created you to be. Love you!
