My squad and I left to Dequincy Louisiana to join up with Samaritans Purse with disaster relief in regards to hurricane Lora. My squad was split into four teams to reach four different people in need each day. We had no access to bathrooms while on the job site. So we’d have to load up in a truck and drive to the nearest bathroom. A couple of guys from my team and I went to a gas station I didn’t need to go to the bathroom I just went because it’s nice to be in a car ,well truck in this case. At this has station there was a food stand that sold hot dogs funnel cake burgers and something that I’ve never seen or heard of before chicken ?? on a stick! I immediately asked one of my squadmates ,Cole, to spot me because I left my wallet at the job site. There were two women at the helm of this food stand and they were kind of all over the place running around in and out of the stand rushing to restock there fridge while taking orders and cooking. Cole immediately said to me ,”why is this so unorganized?”. I said ,”they’re trying there hardest it’s fine”. It was cole Brandon and me standing in front waiting to order (Brandon is my team leader). Brandon asks us if we have cash, we both nodded our heads, Cole says ,” I has card and Brandon says,” me too”. So we asked one of the women if they accept card and one replied yes we do. That same woman turns around to ask the other if she had seen her phone so she can scan our cards . The other woman replied no adding frustration to the whole situation. All while more customers arrive and begin to order. The woman looking for her phone while cooking finally says,”I’m sorry for this service ,my husband told me today that he’s leaving me for another woman “. It’s only noon so this had to have been within a couple of hours. I asked her three questions. The first ,”can I ask you something?” She said ,”sure”. I then asked ,”do you know who jesus is ?”. She said ,”yes I do , he’s the only one who I need I’m my life”. As soon as she said yes I do I immediately started pounding my fist on the counter top out of sheer excitement. Then I asked ,”can we pray for you” she immediately turned around and put her hand out I immediately took it ,Brandon Cole and I began to pray for her. Her name is Stephanie and in that moment the Lord came to where she was and poured out his love into her I’m that moment. She was so touched that she said she’d pay for all three of our orders. What Brandon Cole and i thought was just going to be a simple bathroom run was actually a divine appointments with Stephanie and the Lord. Id like to challenge you to invite the Lord into each and every situation. Watch just how much he can move in your everyday life something as simple as a trip to the grocery store can change someone’s life for the better because you were willing to invite the Lord I’m it.
God is so good! You all did an amazing job in Louisiana! Continue to listen and be open to what He has for you. So proud of you!
